Licence (Meraki) iMeraki devices need a valid licence to be managed. The licence follows the model and comes in 1–10 years. Enterprise gives the core features; Advanced Security (MX) or Advanced adds more features. Read the guide: How Cisco licensing works →9 options
Uplink module iThe module adds ports to the switch or router. The number is the port count and the letter the speed: G = 1G, X = 10G, Y = 25G, Q = 40G, C = 100G, M = multigigabit copper. Power supply iA second power supply gives redundancy and can raise the switch's total PoE budget. Larger power supplies are needed if many ports must deliver high PoE. Read the guide: PoE – is there enough power? →4 options
Stacking cable iStacking lets several switches be managed as one. A stack has at most 8 switches and is cabled as a ring – as many cables as switches.
