Compatible accessories and licences
Support and hardware replacement iA support contract (Cisco Smart Net) gives you Cisco TAC around the clock, software updates and a replacement part if the hardware fails – the level decides how fast the part arrives. The contract can run for 1, 3 or 5 years – choose the term in the quote basket. Without one, the manufacturer's standard warranty applies. Read the guide: How Cisco licensing works →3 options
Mounting iBrackets and rails for ceiling, wall or rack. A standard bracket is often included – choose here if you need a different mounting. Read the guide: Which access point? Wi-Fi 6E or Wi-Fi 7 →2 options
Storage (SSD) iThe module adds ports to the switch or router. The number is the port count and the letter the speed: G = 1G, X = 10G, Y = 25G, Q = 40G, C = 100G, M = multigigabit copper. Transceivers are ordered separately. Read the guide: Uplink modules – which one? →1 option
Security subscription iThe base features are included, but protection requires a subscription: T = intrusion prevention (IPS), M = malware defense, C = URL filtering. TMC includes everything and is the most common choice; T is required for M and C. Read the guide: How Cisco licensing works →13 options
Transceivers 1G SFP iEvery fibre port needs a transceiver. SR = multimode fibre within the building, LR = single-mode up to 10 km, T = copper (RJ45). Between switches in the same rack a DAC cable (CU) is cheapest. Read the guide: Transceivers and cables – what fits? →22 options
