Frequently asked questions
Do we need 10G already?
Usually not between switch and desk, but preferably as the uplink between switches and to the server. That is where the traffic converges. Read more in the guide →
Can I stack a 9200 with a 9300?
No. The C9300 and C9300X can stack together, the C9300L only with C9300L/C9300LM, and the C9200 only with C9200 (C9200L with C9200L). All switches in a stack must have the same licence level, and the stacking cables (max 3 m) are ordered separately. Read more in the guide →
Is the A or E in the part number the same as the subscription?
No. The letter is the licence level shipped with the switch. The Catalyst subscription (Essentials or Advantage for 3, 5 or 7 years) is chosen separately when you add the switch to the quote basket. Read more in the guide →
Can we mix brands in the same network?
